We are working to create a beautiful environment with a rich sense of place that highlights the importance and contributions of queer people to Denver. The district aims to showcase, support, and further uplift Denver’s already vibrant Queer community, queer businesses, and queer stories.
As Denver already has a concentrated area of commercial, political, cultural, and historic locales significant to the Queer community, it makes sense to officially designate it as the place to tell and preserve our stories. By creating this space, we ensure the ongoing empowerment, protection, and celebration of queer people in Denver and Colorado.
